School Supply Drive

You can make a difference in the start of a child's school year!

United Way of York County has joined forces this year with several community partners, including Joyful Harvest Neighborhood Center, Open Hands Open Hearts, the Old Orchard Beach Food Pantry, and York County Community Action, to provide school supplies to more than 500 children in need in our community.*

This summer, the "Tools for Schools" program will be working with Ruth's Reusable Resources to help assemble and distribute these ready-to-learn backpacks in mid-August...

*K-12 Students in Arundel, Biddeford, Saco, OOB and Dayton

Watch for these events this summer! 

Thanks to this community effort, 71 children received backpacks filled with school supplies at an estimated value of more than $2,000.  Thank you to all of who participated in this school supply drive!
